Qualifications:

  • Valid Ohio certification as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH)
  • Experience or strong interest in working with students of varying ages and levels of need
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt instruction for students with hearing loss
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Willingness to travel between different buildings as required by schedule

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across different grade levels and settings
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and other service providers to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Assist with accommodations, modifications, and the use of assistive technology to enhance accessibility
  • Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and parent communications
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and service delivery
  • Adapt scheduling and support to meet changing student needs throughout the school year
