Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Inyokern, CA

Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education or eligibility for credentialing in California
- Previous experience supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong communication skills, including proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Deep understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and ability to develop and implement appropriate instructional strategies
- Compassion, adaptability, and enthusiasm for working with students of varying abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, individualized instruction and support to a student with hearing differences, fostering both academic and social success
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to develop and implement IEP goals
- Adapt curriculum and classroom materials to ensure accessibility
- Monitor and report student progress consistently to contribute to ongoing educational planning
- Serve as an advocate and resource for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students within the educational environment
