Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) - Trona, California

Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience supporting deaf/hard of hearing students in educational settings
- Expertise in developing and implementing IEPs tailored to individual communication needs
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt and tailor educational materials and strategies to diverse learning styles
- Comfort working in an onsite, in-person capacity
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, individualized instruction to a student who is deaf or hard of hearing
- Develop, adapt, and deliver lesson plans and strategies aligned with IEP goals
- Advocate for students’ unique needs and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to support the student’s progress
- Regularly assess and report on student progress and adjust plans as needed
- Maintain detailed and confidential records of student services
This position runs from early August 2026 through the end of May 2027, with a consistent schedule of 15 hours per week. The role is entirely onsite, ensuring hands-on support and active participation in the school community.
