Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid teaching credentials with DHH specialization or equivalent endorsement
- Proven experience working with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in an educational setting
- Strong understanding of individualized instructional strategies for students with hearing loss
- Skilled in classroom management, differentiated instruction, and communication support tools such as ASL
- Collaborative mindset; willing to work closely with staff, families, and related service providers
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, motivating educational experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, personalized instruction onsite to support a 1:1 DHH caseload (with the possibility of additional students)
- Adapt curriculum and learning activities to fit individual needs and IEP goals
- Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings and reporting
- Foster a positive, encouraging atmosphere where each student can thrive academically and socially
- Collaborate with school teams and families to ensure consistent, holistic support
