You’ll be part of a close-knit team focused on inclusive education. Your expertise as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing will ensure educational access, advocacy, and growth for your student, with the possibility of further caseload details being provided following spring break. This assignment runs from August 6, 2026, through May 27, 2027, with a commitment of 15 hours per week.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
  • Experience working with students with varying degrees of hearing loss, preferably in a school setting
  • Strong grasp of individualized education plans (IEPs) and best practices in DHH education
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to collaborate with staff, families, and related service providers
  • Adaptable, resourceful, and committed to inclusive, student-centered learning environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct, individualized educational support for the assigned student
  • Implement and monitor IEPs, adapting instruction and materials as appropriate
  • Advocate for student needs and foster a positive, accessible classroom culture
  • Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and family members to ensure a cohesive support system
  • Maintain progress documentation and participate in team meetings as needed
