Qualifications:

- Valid state teaching certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing (or eligibility to obtain)
- Proficiency with American Sign Language (ASL) and/or other accessible communication methods
- Previous experience in educational settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to build rapport with students and adapt instruction to individual needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement customized lesson plans to support students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Conduct assessments to monitor progress and adjust strategies as necessary
- Work closely with general education teachers to provide consultation services and facilitate inclusion
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing insights for student success
- Provide guidance to students and families on communication strategies and technology
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech-language pathologists and audiologists
