- Ability to develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs)
- Effective collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and advocacy abilities
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise in hearing loss and educational access
- Consult with classroom teachers and staff on accommodations, modifications, and technology use
- Track and document student progress, adjusting approaches as needed
- Engage with families to foster understanding and partnership in student learning
