We’re seeking a dedicated professional with specialized experience in deaf education to serve students across four schools. This contract position lets you engage with students in person near Lawrence, MA, and help shape impactful learning journeys—one day at a time.

What You'll Need:

  • Current and active Massachusetts Teacher of Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TODHH) License through DESE
  • Demonstrated experience as a DHH Teacher or Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
  • Strong skills in creating accessible curricula and facilitating inclusive student engagement
  • Ability to collaborate with a variety of educational professionals, therapists, and family members
  • Excellent communication skills, adapting styles as needed for student and staff needs
  • Commitment to working onsite within local schools

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, individualized instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing within Haverhill-area schools
  • Work onsite 1-2 days per week, providing support and adapting lessons as needed
  • Liaise with classroom teachers to implement accommodations and appropriate modifications
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere for students at a variety of grade levels
  • Keep accurate records and contribute to student progress reports and IEP documentation
  • Act as a resource for staff and families, promoting effective strategies and advocacy
