Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) | Lowell, Massachusetts

You’ll play a vital role in providing specialized instruction and advocating for student success.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TODHH) license through DESE (active status required)
- Previous experience working as a DHH Teacher in a school-based setting is strongly preferred
- In-depth knowledge of instructional strategies and assistive technology for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Strong ability to collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and ancillary staff
- Effective communication and advocacy skills on behalf of students
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students across four local schools
- Assess student needs and create individualized educational plans to support academic and communication goals
- Serve as a resource to staff and teachers regarding best practices and accommodations
- Advocate for students’ access and inclusion in all aspects of their school experience
- Maintain accurate records and provide ongoing progress updates
- Remain onsite at all times during scheduled hours (no remote/virtual work available)
