Key Qualifications:

  • Valid and active Massachusetts Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TODHH) license through DESE
  • Experience working with students across elementary, middle, and/or high school settings
  • Strong understanding of Deaf culture, assistive technologies, and accessible instructional strategies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially when working with multidisciplinary teams and families
  • Flexibility and adaptability in supporting students in multiple school environments

Position Highlights:

  • Per diem schedule, 1-2 days per week, allowing for work-life balance and flexibility
  • Serve all Deaf/Hard of Hearing students from Haverhill across four different school sites
  • Deliver direct and consultative services to students, ensuring access to general curriculum and promoting self-advocacy
  • Collaborate with school staff, related service providers, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Participate in team meetings, assessments, and professional development as required
  • Onsite presence essential for building relationships and providing impactful, hands-on instruction
