Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing - Naperville, IL

Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) endorsement required
- Previous experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing is highly valued
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to suit diverse learning needs
- Proficiency in developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Flexibility to travel between assigned school sites
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative services for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across multiple school locations
- Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans that address individual student goals
- Support students' language, academic, and social-emotional growth
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to foster an inclusive environment
- Monitor progress and adjust instruction as needed to ensure students’ success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team-based planning
