DHH Teacher | Naperville, Illinois

Your expertise will help address students’ learning, communication, and social/emotional needs. You'll work closely with families and school staff, providing essential guidance to foster an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with Endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience serving as a DHH or Hearing Itinerant teacher
- Strong communication skills and collaborative approach
- Ability to support high school-aged students with varying degrees of hearing loss
- Passion for empowering students and advocating for their educational access
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with hearing differences
- Consult and collaborate with school personnel to ensure appropriate accommodations and inclusion
- Develop and monitor educational plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Address students’ social, communication, and emotional development
- Serve as a resource for families, offering strategies and guidance
- Document progress and maintain open communication with all stakeholders
