Desired Background & Credentials:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited four-year institution
- Florida teaching certification or eligibility; appropriate ESOL endorsement required
- Additional hours in Gifted and Reading, Communications Disorders unit, or Autism endorsement/certification preferred
- Ability to differentiate instruction across multiple grade levels in a diverse classroom
- Comfortable collaborating with paraprofessionals and other instructional staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a valid teaching certificate and comply with all local and state education regulations
- Prepare, update, and submit timely and accurate reports as required
- Support individual student learning plans and foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture
- Consistently uphold school policies, rules, and procedures
- Fulfill all contract terms unless officially released
- Establish and maintain a safe, orderly classroom setting
- Meet and instruct classes as assigned, ensuring lesson plans are well-prepared and adaptable
- Utilize varied instructional strategies and media to meet different learning needs
