Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Oakland, CA

Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, preferably in a K-12 school setting
- Knowledge of individualized education programs (IEPs) and ability to implement instructional strategies tailored to DHH students
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with both students and school staff
- Professional certification or credential for Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education (or eligibility)
- Resourceful, self-directed, and dependable
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instructional support and consultation to two students with hearing impairments
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to address students' learning needs
- Adapt and modify curriculum to best support accessibility for DHH students
- Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings as needed
