This assignment involves a small caseload—just two students—located in the San Bruno area, allowing you to deliver personalized instruction and support. The commitment is approximately two hours per week, making this position an excellent fit for those already working on assignment nearby or seeking to supplement their current hours with a fulfilling, direct-service role. Please note: on-site presence is required; virtual services cannot be accommodated at this time.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, preferably in a K-12 school setting
  • Knowledge of individualized education programs (IEPs) and ability to implement instructional strategies tailored to DHH students
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with both students and school staff
  • Professional certification or credential for Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education (or eligibility)
  • Resourceful, self-directed, and dependable

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instructional support and consultation to two students with hearing impairments
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to address students' learning needs
  • Adapt and modify curriculum to best support accessibility for DHH students
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings as needed
