Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) | Olivehurst, California

Your role will involve collaborating with educational staff and families, adapting teaching methods to individual student needs, and supporting learners who use various communication tools and assistive technologies, including cochlear implants.
Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Valid teaching credentials in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
- Experience designing and modifying curriculum for DHH students
- Familiarity with a range of communication strategies (ASL, oral/auditory approaches, Total Communication)
- Ability to support and instruct students utilizing cochlear implants
- Strong organizational and time management skills; able to manage a diverse caseload
- Commitment to on-site service across multiple school locations within the county
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support services to DHH students on-site
- Assess student progress and adapt techniques accordingly
- Liaise with faculty, families, and service providers to ensure student success
- Travel between school sites as needed, supporting a caseload of around 30 students
- Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor outcomes
