Desired Qualifications:

- Ability to meet Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) federal and state requirements, or willingness to obtain within the designated timeframe
- Appropriate licensure for Deaf/Hard of Hearing instruction required in Alabama
- Knowledge of best practices in working with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored instruction and educational support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Develop lesson plans, modify curriculum, and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to create an inclusive classroom environment
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
- Advocate for student needs and foster positive relationships
