Qualifications:
- Possess an active North Carolina Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) License
- Experience or strong passion for working with students with deafness and additional disabilities
- Comfort and creativity in adapting instructional materials for accessibility
- Bilingual skills (Spanish) are highly valued
- Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted, individualized educational services 1:1 to a student with multi-disabilities and deafness, ensuring lessons are accessible and engaging
- Work closely with related service providers, families, and school staff to develop and implement an effective educational plan
- Track and document progress while adjusting strategies to meet the student’s evolving needs
- Advocate for the child’s unique needs within the broader school community
