Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid North Carolina Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) License required
- Experience working directly with Deaf or Hard of Hearing students
- Knowledge of instructional strategies tailored for students with multiple disabilities
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for partnership with families and educational teams
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred for supporting linguistically diverse families
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, one-on-one educational services to a student with multi-disabilities and hearing loss
- Develop and adapt instructional plans based on individual education program (IEP) goals
- Utilize appropriate assistive technology and communication modalities
- Collaborate with special educators, therapists, and family members to support holistic development
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and participate in relevant meetings
