This contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year offers the chance to make a meaningful impact across multiple school buildings, ensuring students receive the tailored educational services they deserve.

In this role, you'll provide direct instruction and support to a caseload of 14 students in 7 buildings. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, including a 30-minute duty-free lunch. Mileage compensation is available for travel between locations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Possess a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate endorsements for Deaf/Hard of Hearing
  • Proven ability to deliver instruction across varied grade levels
  • Experience supporting students with hearing impairments in school settings
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to work effectively with staff and families
  • Flexibility and organizational skills to manage a multi-site caseload
  • Familiarity with educational technology and assistive devices for DHH students is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student
  • Provide direct instruction and accommodations tailored to deaf and hard of hearing learners
  • Collaborate with general educators, specialists, and families to ensure optimal student progress
  • Travel between locations as required (paid mileage provided)
  • Engage in ongoing assessment and communication to support student achievement
