This onsite, contract opportunity is ideal for a passionate educator skilled in working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students. The role entails a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours, serving a caseload to be determined, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to student growth and achievement.

Key Qualifications:

  • Hold an Education Specialist Instruction Credential in Deaf & Hard of Hearing
    or
  • Possess a valid California Special Education Credential authorizing instruction for deaf and hard of hearing students
  • Earned a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Demonstrate expertise in DHH instructional strategies, communication modalities, and assistive technologies
  • Exhibit excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage students, families, and colleagues

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Develop, implement, and assess IEPs to address each student's unique needs
  • Foster a positive, accessible learning environment utilizing visual and auditory supports
  • Work closely with general education teachers, interpreters, and other specialists to ensure seamless inclusion and support
  • Track student progress, adapt teaching methods, and provide regular updates to families and the educational team
