Virtual Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing - ND
A contract opportunity is available for a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, delivering services via telehealth. This role offers the chance to support students’ educational needs remotely, providing specialized instruction and resources tailored to individual hearing challenges.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Conducting telehealth sessions to deliver instruction and support
- Collaborating with families, audiologists, and school staff to ensure cohesive service delivery
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting strategies as needed
- Maintaining detailed documentation of sessions and student outcomes
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience working with students who have hearing challenges
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote instruction techniques
