Virtual Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher in ND

This opportunity seeks a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing to provide telehealth services within a school setting. This contract role focuses on delivering specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing using remote technology.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting assessments and evaluations to determine student needs
• Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) based on assessment results
• Delivering direct instructional services and speech therapy through telehealth platforms
• Collaborating with educators, families, and related service providers to support student progress
• Monitoring student performance and adjusting interventions as necessary
• Maintaining accurate documentation and communication regarding student goals and outcomes

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing or equivalent credential
• Experience providing telehealth instruction in educational settings
• Strong knowledge of auditory and speech development, communication strategies, and assistive technologies
• Ability to engage students effectively in a virtual learning environment
• Excellent communication skills and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices related to special education and hearing impairments

Location: Remote services provided to a school in Horace, North Dakota
