Virtual Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher in NE

A specialized teaching position is available for an educator skilled in supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing students via telehealth services. This contract role offers the opportunity to deliver impactful instruction and support remotely, ensuring accessibility and effective communication for students in need.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students through telehealth platforms
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student needs and goals
• Collaborate with families, teachers, and related service providers to optimize student learning experiences
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
• Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student outcomes
• Utilize assistive technology and telecommunication tools effectively to enhance learning

Qualifications:

• Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
• Experience delivering educational services via telehealth preferred
• Strong understanding of Deaf culture and communication methods, including American Sign Language (ASL) or other relevant skills
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to a virtual learning environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to student-centered learning and individualized support

Location: This role supports students remotely but is based in Papillion, NE.
