Key Qualifications:
- Current certification or eligibility as a Teacher for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Strong understanding of educational needs for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Knowledge of best practices, instructional methods, and assistive technologies
- Proven ability to adapt lessons for various communication modes, such as ASL or spoken English
- Experience collaborating with general educators, speech-language pathologists, and support staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Primary Duties:
- Deliver direct instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ensuring access to curriculum
- Assess student progress and needs to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Consult with classroom teachers to modify materials and teaching strategies
- Advocate for accommodations and school-wide awareness to strengthen inclusion
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, services provided, and collaborative meetings
- Participate in professional development to stay current on trends, technologies, and regulations
