Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid certification and licensure as a Teacher or Specialist for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing individualized educational programs for DHH learners.
- Strong understanding of assistive technology, communication modes, and instructional strategies tailored to students with hearing loss.
- Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary educational teams.
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other appropriate communication systems preferred.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and advocacy skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, adapting curriculum and methods to align with each student’s needs.
- Conduct classroom assessments and participate actively in IEP development and meetings.
