Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) - Kernersville, NC

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
- Previous experience supporting K-12 students in educational environments
- Strong knowledge of inclusive instructional strategies and assistive communication technologies
- Comfortable traveling between school sites as an itinerant specialist
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to deaf and hard of hearing students district wide
- Collaborate with general education teachers and school staff to adapt curriculum and assessments
- Advocate for students' communication, social, and academic needs
- Conduct evaluations and contribute to IEP meetings, ensuring compliance and best practices
- Offer training, resources, and consultation to staff regarding effective strategies and technology use
- Foster a supportive and accessible learning environment across all assigned schools
