Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
  • Previous experience working with K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Expertise in American Sign Language (ASL) and/or other communication modalities
  • Strong collaboration and communication abilities with multidisciplinary teams and families
  • Flexibility to travel across multiple school sites within the district
  • Deep knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and compliance procedures
  • A creative, engaging, and student-centered approach to learning

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative services to K-12 students identified as Deaf/Hard of Hearing across various school locations
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals based on individual student needs
  • Support classroom teachers and staff with strategies, resources, and training for accessible instruction

  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings
