- Valid certification as a Teacher for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, or demonstrated eligibility

- Strong communication skills, including proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and/or other communication methods for the DHH community
- Ability to collaborate with general education staff, families, and related service providers
- Action-oriented approach with the capacity to develop and implement IEPs tailored for DHH students
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and best practices in the field
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, individualized, and group instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Assess student strengths and needs to support personalized learning plans
- Consult with classroom teachers and teams regarding accommodations and instructional strategies
- Advocate for accessibility and student independence in all areas of school life
- Monitor student progress and maintain up-to-date documentation pursuant to state and federal guidelines
