As an expert in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education, you’ll play a critical role in IEP development, case management, assistive technology support, and progress monitoring. Your support ensures each student’s unique needs are met, whether providing direct service or consultative guidance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education, with experience teaching or supporting children in these populations.
- Skilled in IEP development, case management, and progress tracking.
- Proficiency with assistive technology relevant to D/HH students.
- Adaptability to serve students across various service models and frequencies.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with families, staff, and administrators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support based on students’ service needs—from intensive sessions to periodic consultation.
- Manage and update IEPs, ensuring compliance and student-centered goal planning.
- Guide and train staff on best practices for supporting D/HH students.
- Document progress meticulously and participate in IEP meetings.
- Offer assistive technology evaluations and recommendations.
