What we're seeking:
- Certification or licensure as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist (or eligibility)
- Experience or strong interest in working with students in grades K-5
- Knowledge of current best practices, technology, and accommodations for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct and consultative services to a small caseload of students
- Supporting language, communication, and academic needs
- Collaborating with team members for effective student support
- Participating in IEP meetings and assisting with documentation
- Implementing individualized strategies and accommodations to empower student success
