Qualifications:
- Valid Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) certification in MA required
- Previous experience working with K-12 students with hearing differences is highly valued
- Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and best practices for deaf education
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing across kindergarten through 12th grade
- Modify general education curriculum and teach using various communication modalities
- Consult with classroom teachers, staff, and parents to support inclusive learning
- Develop, implement, and assess student IEP goals and ensure compliance
- Advocate for student access to necessary classroom resources, assistive technology, and accommodations
- Maintain accurate progress records and participate in IEP meetings
