This contract position offers a part-time schedule spanning three days per week, focusing on both direct instruction and consultative services for approximately 43 students ranging from Pre-K through age 22. Qualifications & Required Experience:
- Active Massachusetts teaching license or appropriate endorsement as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or related field
- Experience supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing in educational settings
- School-based experience strongly preferred
- Ability to meet all state and district requirements for deaf and hard of hearing services
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction to students with hearing needs
- Provide consultative support and resources to classroom teachers and staff
- Ensure effective access to classroom instruction and communication for students
- Develop and monitor IEP goals, participate in meetings, and assist in assessments
- Collaborate with families, teachers, interpreters, audiologists, and additional related service providers
- Recommend accommodations and assistive technology tailored to student needs
- Maintain timely, confidential documentation and contribute to educational planning
