- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families
- Commitment to culturally responsive, student-centered instruction
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing in various educational settings
- Assess student needs and progress, adapting instructional strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with regular education teachers, speech-language pathologists, and other related service providers
- Offer resources and training to staff and families, promoting effective communication and awareness
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, contribute to assessments, and help develop comprehensive IEPs
- Travel between campuses in King George, Colonial Beach, and Westmoreland as needed to ensure continuity of services
