Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- California credential or eligibility to teach the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience supporting Deaf/Hard of Hearing students, ideally in elementary settings
- Familiarity with assistive hearing technology and classroom accommodations
- Strong communication and advocacy skills
- Ability to collaborate with educators, specialists, and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction to Deaf/Hard of Hearing elementary students in a classroom setting
- Develop and adapt lesson plans and teaching materials
- Coordinate with school staff to implement IEP goals and accommodations
- Utilize a variety of tools and technologies to support student learning
- Monitor student progress and maintain records as required
- Provide resources and guidance to educators and families
