Qualifications & Experience
- Valid (or eligible for) Indiana Exceptional Needs, Deaf and Hard of Hearing teaching license
- Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in educational settings
- Familiarity with consulting or support service models for special education
- Ability to adapt communication and teaching strategies to individual student needs
- Strong organizational and collaboration skills with educators, families, and service providers
Key Responsibilities
- Consult with classroom teachers and school staff to develop and implement effective strategies for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
- Support individualized education plan (IEP) development and implementation
- Serve as an expert resource on Deaf education and assistive technology
- Advocate for student accessibility needs and inclusive learning practices
- Monitor student progress and adjust recommendations as needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and professional development as required
