Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with endorsement for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
  • Experience working with Deaf or Hard of Hearing students in educational settings
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel locally between school sites (for itinerant role)
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative services to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with general educators, families, and related service providers
