What you'll bring to the table:
- Current certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
- Strong understanding of the unique educational needs of deaf and hard of hearing students
- Previous experience providing DHH services in a K-12 school setting preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general education staff, families, and related service providers
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel between sites within the assigned counties
In this role, you'll:
- Deliver direct and consultative DHH services in various educational environments
- Support students in both inclusive and resource settings, adapting materials and instruction for accessibility
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students you serve
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for staff and families, promoting communication access and inclusive practices
- Support self-advocacy skills and help students reach their fullest social and academic potential
