Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Adams, Tennessee

Essential Qualifications:
- Valid and active Tennessee Department of Education certification for teaching Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience or training in consultative and direct instruction models for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Ability to adapt strategies to a diverse caseload across grade levels
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with school teams, families, and other service providers
- Willingness to complete Tennessee fingerprinting and any district-specific credentialing requirements before the first day
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver consultative and direct services to students per their IEPs, supporting both academic achievement and self-advocacy skills
- Partner with general and special education teachers, as well as related service staff, to create inclusive learning environments
- Foster effective communication and inclusion for students across all assigned school sites
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to assessment and progress monitoring
- Provide resources and strategies to families and staff members as necessary
You’ll play a vital role in an established network of DHH programs dedicated to student success. The contract offers a consistent Monday–Friday daytime schedule, allowing you to focus fully on student engagement during school hours.
