Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Cedar Hill, TN

Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Tennessee Department of Education Certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing required
- Prior experience providing consultative and/or direct educational support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing is highly valued
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary staff
- Commitment to supporting K-12 learners with individualized service plans and instructional strategies
- Flexibility for assignments across multiple school sites as student and hub needs evolve
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver consultative and direct instructional support to DHH students across Pre-K through elementary and middle school hubs
- Collaborate with general education staff, special educators, and related service providers
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert recommendations to optimize student success
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet unique student learning profiles
- Maintain student documentation and progress records in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Ensure completion of required fingerprinting and credentialing prior to start date
