What You’ll Bring:
- Valid Tennessee Department of Education Teacher Certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience or strong interest in working with K–12 students across a range of ages and abilities
- Familiarity with consultative and direct instructional service models
- Dedication to fostering inclusion, communication access, and academic success
- Willingness to complete Tennessee fingerprinting and district-specific credentialing requirements
- Positive, collaborative demeanor and a flexible mindset
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide supportive, specialized instruction for K–12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Collaborate with school staff, students, and families to develop and implement effective educational plans
- Consult with educators in district DHH hubs (Pre-K through middle school), contributing to inclusive classroom environments
- Adjust services to reflect student and district needs, including individualized consultations and direct teaching
- Maintain documentation, progress reports, and timely communication related to student services
- Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings
