Teacher of the Deaf in Adams, TN

Key Qualifications:
- Valid Tennessee Department of Education certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing is required
- TN fingerprint clearance, current or in process
- Solid background in consultative and direct instructional services for students K-12
- Flexible approach to adapt to school- and student-specific needs
- Effective communicator and collaborative team player
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver consultative and instructional support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, with caseloads primarily K-12
- Work across a range of school settings; Pre-K, Elementary, and newly forming Middle School hubs
- Evaluate student needs and design individualized educational strategies based on the current requirements
- Provide ongoing collaboration with general education staff, related service personnel, and families
- Ensure implementation of IEP goals and compliance with state and federal educational guidelines
- Foster a supportive and accessible classroom environment
- Participate in professional development, team meetings, and related activities during the contract period
This position follows the regular school calendar, starting August 3, 2026, and concluding May 28, 2027, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Assignments and schools may vary based on the needs of the district and caseload at the time.
