ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and qualified Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) for the 2026–2027 school year in Alameda, CA. This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing while making a meaningful impact on their academic, communication, and social-emotional development.
This assignment provides the opportunity to work within a collaborative educational team focused on student success across multiple school sites.
Work Schedule:
Full-Time
35 Hours per Week
August 7, 2026 – June 4, 2027

Qualifications:
Valid California Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teaching Credential required
Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
Knowledge of special education compliance, IEP development, and implementation
Ability to create supportive, inclusive learning environments
Commitment to supporting students with diverse communication and educational needs
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals and California state standards
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Collaborate with families, related service providers, administrators, and school staff
Support students' communication, language development, academic achievement, and social-emotional growth
Collect and maintain accurate student progress data and documentation
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
Travel between assigned school sites to provide services

Students: Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through Age 22
Caseload: 20–28 Students
Serving 15 School Sites
Full-Time, 35 Hours per Week
