Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - San Mateo, California

As an itinerant educator, you'll collaborate closely with teams across the district, working directly on-site with students ranging from early childhood through transition programs. Requirements and Qualifications:
- Valid DHH (Deaf/Hard of Hearing) teaching credential
- Active CTC certification
- Experience or strong interest in itinerant teaching across multiple campuses
- Proficiency in developing, implementing, and consulting on IEPs for students with hearing loss
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, families, and support staff
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Key Duties:
- Provide direct and consultative educational support for DHH students on-site across district schools
- Conduct assessments, contribute to IEP development, and support instructional strategies tailored to individual student needs
- Serve as an expert resource to staff and families, supporting effective inclusion and accommodations
- Facilitate transitions for students at each educational stage (EC-Transition age range)
- Maintain documentation and communication consistent with district and compliance requirements
- Offer training and support to staff in best practices for Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
