Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across various school sites.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and related service providers to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Provide consultative services districtwide, addressing the unique needs of each student and facilitating effective communication strategies.
- Maintain thorough documentation and compliance with district policies and state regulations.
- Participate actively in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training related to Deaf education.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid DHH teaching credential required.
- California Teacher Credentialing Commission (CTC) certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education.
- Proven experience in providing itinerant and consultative services within school environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
