Qualifications & Experience Desired:

  • Valid credential as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDHH).
  • Experience working with high school-aged students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
  • Strong skills in adapting curriculum and communication to meet individual student needs.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and consult with teachers, administrators, and families.
  • Flexibility to work itinerantly (traveling between sites) or virtually as required.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and record-keeping abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Consult and collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to modify curriculum and ensure accessibility.
  • Foster a positive, engaging learning environment tailored to each student’s unique needs.
  • Work closely with families to encourage involvement and share resources.
  • Maintain accurate records and evaluate student progress regularly.
