The position provides services to high school-aged individuals, delivering essential support in both in-person and virtual modalities, offering greater flexibility for candidates.

Key Qualifications:

  • Certification and credentials as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
  • Experience supporting high school students with hearing differences.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt materials and instructional approaches for a variety of learning modalities, including virtual.
  • Previous experience in an itinerant role is preferred but not required.
  • Comfortable collaborating with school personnel, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Travel between school sites within the assigned region to deliver direct and consultative services.
  • Provide tailored instruction and accommodations for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, promoting language acquisition and academic achievement.
  • Collaborate with general and special education teachers to foster inclusive learning environments.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, develop individualized education plans, and track student progress.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation as required by school and district guidelines.
  • Communicate regularly with families to support student growth and address concerns.
