Key Qualifications:

  • California credential as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (or eligibility)

  • Comfortable managing a caseload and itinerant travel or remote schedules
  • Commitment to differentiated instruction and IEP implementation

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, individualized instruction that supports language development, auditory skills, and academic achievement
  • Assess student needs, track progress, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Collaborate with general educators, interpreters, and related services to ensure full access for D/HH students
  • Provide consultation and support to school staff and families
  • Adapt curriculum and classroom materials to maximize accessibility and participation
  • Use a variety of teaching modalities, including in-person and/or virtual platforms
