Desired Qualifications:
- Valid state certification/licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience working with high school students in educational settings
- Strong knowledge of strategies for Deaf/Hard of Hearing instruction, including assistive technologies and communication modalities (ASL, Signed English, etc.)
- Ability to adapt curriculum for individual student needs and learning styles
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with other educators, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in high school settings
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Integrate technology and visual tools to support learning accessibility
- Facilitate effective communication and advocate for students’ needs within the school community
- Monitor student progress, maintaining detailed records and documentation
