Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid credential or certification for teaching Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
  • Experience working with high school-aged students in an educational setting
  • Strong knowledge of best practices in Deaf/Hard of Hearing instruction and accommodations
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and staff
  • Organizational skills to manage an itinerant caseload across multiple sites or virtual platforms
  • Strong communication skills, including proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction and support to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students across a variety of academic subjects
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in line with state and federal guidelines
  • Travel (if onsite) between assigned schools, ensuring consistent support for all students on the caseload
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt classroom materials and instructional techniques
  • Engage with families to promote student progress and self-advocacy skills
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and student progress
