Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Carmichael, CA

Key Qualifications:
- Current, valid DHH teaching license issued by the state of California
- Prior experience teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing preferred
- Strong communication skills, both spoken and signed
- Ability to create and deliver individualized educational programs (IEPs)
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Collaborative spirit, working closely with families, staff, and service providers
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to students in a self-contained classroom setting
- Assess student needs and progress, adapting lessons as required
- Develop, implement, and revise IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, speech-language pathologists, and other specialists
- Foster student confidence, self-advocacy, and communication skills
- Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with families
